El gorro French Braid forma parte de la colección del mismo nombre, inspirada en el motivo de trenzas francesas que está presente en todos los diseños.

Se comienza con un montaje retorcido alemán, seguido de un elástico hecho con trenzas francesas. El cuerpo del gorro luce un motivo con trenzas francesas sobre un fondo de puntos del revés. La corona mantiene las trenzas, pero disminuye la parte tejida del revés, hasta rematar los últimos puntos.

Pinta de Pascuali (60% merino orgánico, 20% seda de morera, 20% ramio) (212 m/50 g) o cualquier otro hilado de grosor fingering de composición similar.

Necesitarás 50 g. En la muestra se ha usado el color 109.

TALLAS Y MEDIDAS FINALES

Las medidas (en cm) son aproximadas y corresponden a la prenda terminada. Te aconsejo una holgura negativa de unos 5 cm.

• Agujas circulares de 2,75 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cable de 40 cm.
• Cable de 80 cm (para hacer magic loop) o agujas de doble punta de 2,75 mm, para hacer la coronilla.
• Marcadores.
• Tijeras.
• Aguja lanera.

The French Braid hat is part of the collection of the same name, inspired by the French braid motif featured in all the designs.

We begin with a German twisted cast-on, followed by a ribbed brim made with French braids. The body of the hat bears a motif of French braids on a backdrop of reverse stockinette. The crown maintains the braids, but decreases the reverse stockinette part, until the last stitches are gathered together.

YARN

Pinta from Pascuali (60% organic merino, 20% mulberry silk, 20% ramie) (212 m/50 g) or any other fingering weight yarn of a similar composition.

You will need 50 g. The sample shown used the colour 109.

SIZES AND FINAL MEASUREMENTS

These measurements (in cm) are approximate and correspond to the finished garment. I recommend choosing a size with negative ease of about 5 cm.

MATERIALS

• 75 mm circular needles (or size needed to get gauge), and a cable of 40 cm.
• 80 cm cable (to work in magic loop) or 2.75 mm double-pointed needles, to make the crown.
• A stitch marker.
• Scissors.
• Tapestry needle.

GAUGE

37 sts and 40 rnds gives a square of 10 x 10 cm with the French braid motif worked in the round AFTER blocking.

Take your time to make a gauge swatch!

• Purl two stitches together.
• Magic loop or double-pointed needles (for the crown).

Il berretto French Braid fa parte dell’omonima collezione, ispirata al motivo a treccia francese presente in tutti i modelli.

Si comincia con un avvio ritorto tedesco, seguito da un bordo elastico lavorato con trecce francesi. Il corpo del berretto presenta un motivo a trecce francesi su uno sfondo di maglie a rovescio. Nella calotta le trecce proseguono, mentre le sezioni lavorate a rovescio diminuiscono, fino a chiudere le maglie restanti.

FILATO

Pinta di Pascuali (60% merino biologico, 20% seta di gelso, 20% ramiè) (212 m/50 g) o qualunque altro filato di spessore fingering con una composizione simile.

Avrai bisogno di 50 g. Per l’esempio mostrato è stato usato il colore 109.

Le misure qui indicate (in cm) sono approssimate e si riferiscono al capo finito. Ti consiglio di lavorare con un agio negativo di circa 5 cm.

• Un cavo da 80 cm (per lavorare in magic loop) o ferri a doppia punta da 2.75 mm per lavorare la calotta.

TENSIONE

37 m e 40 giri = 10 x 10 cm nel motivo a trecce francesi lavorato in tondo DOPO il bloccaggio.
