El Palacio de Comares, una de las joyas de la Alhambra de Granada, inspira este diseño a través de su equilibrio entre geometría, proporción y ornamentación.

El jersey Comares reinterpreta ese lenguaje arquitectónico mediante el contraste entre la sencillez del punto jersey y la riqueza de las texturas. Su construcción de manga martillo dibuja líneas que evocan la geometría nazarí, mientras que el motivo de trenzas aporta relieve y un juego de luces y sombras que recuerda a las yeserías del palacio. Estructura y decoración se integran así en una misma prenda.

Comares es un jersey tejido de arriba abajo (top-down) con manga martillo. Se comienza por el cuello, combinando el punto elástico 2×2 con el motivo de trenzas del martillo. A continuación, se da forma a los hombros mediante aumentos a ambos lados de este motivo hasta alcanzar el ancho correspondiente a cada talla.

Después, se continúa dando forma a las mangas y las sisas. Una vez completado el canesú, se separan las mangas para trabajar el cuerpo de forma independiente. Por último, se recuperan los puntos de las mangas y se tejen hasta los puños, prolongando el motivo de trenzas a lo largo de toda su longitud.

Ama la lana de Casasol (250 m/100 g) (20% lana, 50% viscosa, 30% nylon), u otro hilado de composición y grosor similares.

En la muestra se ha usado el color Petrolio.

MATERIALES

• Agujas circulares de 4 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cables de distintas longitudes en función de la sección del jersey.
• Agujas circulares de 3,75 mm (o las de la medida inferior a las anteriores).
• Marcadores.
• Aguja auxiliar de trenzas (opcional).

MUESTRA DE TENSIÓN

21 p y 32 vtas en un cuadrado de 10 x 10 cm en punto jersey con las agujas más grandes DESPUÉS bloquear.

Tómate tu tiempo para hacer la muestra de tensión.

The Palace of Comares, one of the jewels of the Alhambra in Granada, inspires this design through its balance of geometry, proportion and ornamentation.

The Comares sweater reinterprets this architectural language through the contrast between the simplicity of stockinette stitch and the richness of texture. Its saddle-shoulder construction creates lines that evoke Nasrid geometry, while the cable motif adds relief and a play of light and shadow reminiscent of the palace’s carved plasterwork. Structure and decoration come together in a single garment.

Comares is a top-down sweater with saddle shoulders. You begin at the neck, combining 2×2 ribbing with the cable motif along the saddle. You then shape the shoulders by increasing on either side of this motif until you reach the shoulder width for your size.

Next, you shape the sleeves and armholes. Once the yoke is complete, separate the sleeves from the body and work the body on its own. Finally, pick up the held sleeve stitches and work down to the cuffs, continuing the cable motif along their entire length.

Ama la lana by Casasol (250 m/100 g) (20% wool, 50% viscose, 30% nylon), or another yarn of similar composition and weight.

The sample is knitted in the Petrolio colourway.

The measurements (in cm) are approximate and refer to the finished garment. I recommend approximately 5–10 cm of positive ease.

MATERIALS

• 4 mm circular needles (or the size needed to obtain gauge), with cables of different lengths depending on the section of the sweater.
• 75 mm circular needles (or one size smaller than your main needles).
• Stitch markers.
• Cable needle (optional).

GAUGE

21 sts and 32 rnds in a 10 x 10 cm square in stockinette stitch using the larger needles AFTER blocking.

Take your time to make a gauge swatch.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Il Palazzo di Comares, uno dei gioielli dell’Alhambra di Granada, ispira questo modello attraverso il suo equilibrio tra geometria, proporzione e ornamentazione.

Il maglione Comares reinterpreta questo linguaggio architettonico mediante il contrasto tra la semplicità della maglia rasata e la ricchezza delle texture. La costruzione a manica martello disegna linee che evocano la geometria nasride, mentre il motivo a trecce crea rilievo e un gioco di luci e ombre che ricorda gli stucchi del palazzo. Struttura e decorazione si integrano così in un unico capo.

Comares è un maglione lavorato dall’alto verso il basso (top-down) con manica martello. Si inizia dal collo, combinando la costa 2×2 con il motivo a trecce del martello. Successivamente si modellano le spalle con aumenti ai due lati del motivo fino a raggiungere la larghezza corrispondente a ciascuna taglia.

Poi si prosegue modellando le maniche e gli scalfi. Una volta completato lo sprone, le maniche vengono separate per lavorare il corpo in modo indipendente. Infine si riprendono le maglie delle maniche e si lavorano fino ai polsini, prolungando il motivo a trecce per tutta la loro lunghezza.

Ama la lana di Casasol (250 m/100 g) (20% lana, 50% viscosa, 30% nylon), oppure un filato di composizione e spessore simili.

Per il campione è stato usato il colore Petrolio.

TENSIONE

21 m e 32 g in un quadrato di 10 × 10 cm a maglia rasata con i ferri più grandi DOPO il bloccaggio.

Prenditi il tempo necessario per realizzare il campione.
