El Top Julie tiene una construcción top-down, es decir, se empieza a tejer por arriba. En primer lugar, con ambos hilados (algodón y mohair), se montan los puntos necesarios para obtener el ancho de hombros con un montaje provisional y, desde ahí, se trabaja, en plano, la espalda hasta la axila. Seguidamente, se retoman los puntos del hombro izquierdo del montaje provisional y se trabaja el lateral izquierdo del delantero hasta terminar de formar el cuello. A continuación, se retoman los puntos del hombro derecho del montaje provisional y se trabaja el lateral derecho. Una vez terminada la formación del cuello, se unen ambos laterales del delantero y se continúa hasta llegar a la axila. En este momento, se unen el delantero y la espalda, montando puntos en las axilas, y se sigue trabajando en circular a la vez que se hacen disminuciones para dar forma a los costados. Para terminar el cuerpo, se trabaja un borde contundente en punto elástico. A continuación, se levantan los puntos de las sisas sólo con el mohair y se tejen las mangas en circular con vueltas cortas al inicio para dar forma a la copa. Las mangas terminan con un borde en punto elástico para que las sujete por encima del codo y queden abullonadas. Para finalizar, se levantan los puntos del escote y se cierran con un I-Cord.

HILADO

El cuerpo está hecho con dos hilados tejidos juntos:

Summerlite 4ply de Rowan (100% algodón egipcio) (175 m/50 g).

Kidsilk Haze de Rowan (70% mohair, 30% seda) (210 m/25 g).

Las mangas están tejidas sólo con el mohair.

En la muestra se han usado los colores 442 (algodón) y 682 (mohair).

Puedes usar otros hilados de composición y grosor similares.

Las medidas (en cm) son aproximadas y corresponden a la prenda terminada. La prenda está pensada para no tener holgura. También es importante elegir una talla que tenga, al menos, 2 cm menos de ancho de hombros.

MATERIALES

• Agujas pequeñas: Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cables de distintas medidas según sea necesario en cada parte del top.
• Agujas medianas: Agujas circulares de 4 mm y cable de 40 cm (o medio punto más grandes que las pequeñas) (para el borde del cuello).
• Agujas grandes: Agujas circulares de 5 mm y cable de 40 cm (o 1 punto y medio más grandes que las pequeñas) (para las mangas).
• Hilo de desecho (para el montaje provisional).

MUESTRA DE TENSIÓN

22,5 p y 33 vtas en un cuadrado de 10 x 10 cm en punto jersey en plano DESPUÉS de bloquear.

Tómate tu tiempo para hacer la muestra de tensión.

NIVEL DE DIFICULTAD Y CONOCIMIENTOS NECESARIOS

• Montaje provisional con cable.
• Aumentos y disminuciones simples.
• Montaje de lazada retorcida.
• Levantar puntos.
• Vueltas cortas alemanas.
• Cierre con I-Cord.
• Remallado invisible o punto Kitchener.

 

The Julie Top is a top-down construction, meaning we start at the neck. First, using both yarns held together, the necessary stitches are cast on for the width of the shoulders using a provisional cast-on and then the back is worked flat down to the underarm. Next, stitches are picked up from the provisional cast-on for the left shoulder and the left front is worked down to the end of the neck shaping. Stitches are then picked up from the provisional cast-on for the right shoulder to work the right front. Once the neck shaping is finished, the two front pieces are joined and worked down to the underarm. At this point, the front and back are joined to work in the round, adding stitches at the underarms, and decreases are worked to shape the waist. To finish the body, a long ribbed hem is added. Next, stitches are picked up around the armholes with the mohair only and the sleeves are worked in the round with short rows at the beginning to shape the cap. The sleeves are finished with a ribbed cuff to pull the fabric in just above the elbow and allow the sleeves to puff out. To finish, stitches are picked up around the neck and bound off with an i-cord.

YARN

The body is worked with two yarns held together:

Summerlite 4ply from Rowan (100% cotton) (175m/50g).

Kidsilk Haze from Rowan (70% mohair, 30% silk) (210m/25g).

The sleeves are worked in the mohair only.

The sample shown used the colours 442 (cotton) and 682 (mohair).

You can use other yarns of a similar composition and weight.

These measurements (in cm) are estimates and correspond to the finished item. The item is designed to be worn with 0 ease. It is also important to choose a size where the shoulder width is at least 2cm smaller than your shoulders.

MATERIALS

• Small needles: 3.5mm circular needles (or size needed to get gauge) and cables of different lengths as necessary for each part of the top.
• Medium needles: 4mm circular needles and a cable of 40cm (or 0.5mm larger than your small needles) (for the neckline edging).
• Large needles: 5mm circular needles and a cable of 40cm (or 1.5mm larger than your small needles) (for the sleeves).
• Stitch markers.
• Waste yarn (for the provisional cast-on).

GAUGE

22.5sts x 33 rows gives a square of 10 x 10cm in stockinette stitch worked flat AFTER blocking.

Take your time to make a gauge swatch.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE

• Provisional cast-on on a cable.
• Single increases and decreases.
• Backwards loop cast-on.
• Pick up stitches.

Il Julie Top ha una costruzione top-down: la lavorazione comincia dunque dal collo. Per prima cosa, con i due filati tenuti insieme e un avvio provvisorio, avviamo le maglie necessarie per la larghezza delle spalle e lavoriamo in piano il dietro fino al giromanica. Poi raccogliamo le maglie dall’avvio provvisorio per la spalla sinistra e lavoriamo il davanti sinistro fino alla fine della sagomatura dello scollo. Dall’avvio provvisorio raccogliamo nuovamente le maglie per la spalla destra e lavoriamo il davanti destro. Una volta ultimata la sagomatura dello scollo, uniamo i due davanti e lavoriamo verso il giromanica. A questo punto, uniamo il davanti e il dietro e lavoriamo in tondo, aggiungendo maglie per i due giromanica e facendo delle diminuzioni per sagomare il punto vita. Per completare il corpo, aggiungiamo un lungo bordo a coste. Per lavorare le maniche, usando solo il filato mohair raccogliamo le maglie intorno ai giromanica e lavoriamo in tondo eseguendo all’inizio dei ferri accorciati per sagomare l’attacco delle maniche. Rifiniamo le maniche con un polsino a coste per stringerle proprio sopra il gomito e permettere loro di gonfiarsi a palloncino. Per finire, raccogliamo le maglie intorno allo scollo e le chiudiamo con un i-cord.

FILATO

Il corpo è lavorato tenendo insieme due filati:

Summerlite 4ply di Rowan (100% cotone) (175m/50g).

Kidsilk Haze di Rowan (70% mohair, 30% seta) (210m/25g).

Le maniche sono lavorate solo con il filato mohair.

Per l’esempio mostrato sono stati usati i colori 442 (cotone) e 682 (mohair).

Puoi usare altri filati con una composizione e uno spessore simili.

• Ferri medi: Ferri circolari da 4mm (o più grandi di 0.5mm dei ferri piccoli che hai scelto) e un cavo da 40cm (per il bordo della scollatura).
• Ferri grandi: Ferri circolari da 5mm (o più grandi di 1.5mm dei ferri piccoli che hai scelto) e un cavo da 40cm (per le maniche).
• Marcapunti.
• Filato di scarto (per l’avvio provvisorio).

TENSIONE

22.5m x 33 ferri = 10 x 10cm a maglia rasata lavorata in piano DOPO il bloccaggio.
