ENGLISH

The Unicorn Shawl is a semicircular (half pi) shawl, worked from top to bottom. The shawl is interspersed with two sections, one in smooth stockinette stitch and the other in seafoam stitch. The latter gets bigger and bigger as you go along, ending with a wave edge built with yarnovers and decreases. You can make two versions of this shawl: one short and one long, depending on your taste (the instructions given in the pattern in terms of amount of yarn, final measurements and gauge refer exclusively to the long version). The short version may be recommended if you wish to use a thicker yarn.

Any fingering weight yarn (200g/800m).
Twinkknits (80% poldale wool, 20% nylon) (100g/400m) was used for the sample.

ITALIANO

Lo scialle Unicorn è uno scialle a semicerchio (half Pi), con costruzione top-down. Ha due sezioni che si ripetono lungo tutto lo scialle, una in maglia rasata e l’altra realizzata con un punto ad onde, e termina con un bordo anche in cui gettati e diminuzioni creano, ancora una volta, delle onde. Puoi fare due versioni di questo scialle: una corta e una lunga, a seconda delle tue preferenze (le indicazioni di questo pattern per quanto riguarda la quantità di filato, le misure finali ed il campione, fanno riferimento alla versione lunga). La versione corta é un’ottima opzione se usi un filato più grosso.

Filato di peso fingering (200 g/800m).
Per il campione ho usato Twinkknits (80% lana poldale, 20% nylon) (100 g/400 m).

MISURE FINALI
All’incirca 200 cm x 85 cm dopo il bloccaggio.
